The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:

I have found that couples are often longing to feel safe, loved, connected and accepted in their relationships, but often lack the skills to cultivate that connection. Some of the most meaningful work for me as a therapist is seeing couples create that connection and be able to feel heard, understood, and loved by their partner.

What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:

Couples often come in overwhelmed, exasperated, and near hopelessness. However, over time I see hearts soften, defenses come down, and new ways of relating develop. Those moments are so powerful. They're worth all of the work to get there. I also love when couples come back to session and tell me about how they are applying what they've learned at home - thats when I know we're really making progress!

Are there kinds of couples or issues that you work with a lot?:

I have extensive experience working with couples healing from betrayal, including affairs, pornography use, and other sexual related issues. I also often see couples who have drifted apart over the years and have no idea how to get back to each other, or how to create the kind of connection they may have longed for, but never really had.

What are the steps to becoming a client in my practice?:

To become a client, simply call our front office at 480-947-5739 and our front office staff can assist with scheduling and all necessary paperwork. I look forward to meeting you!
