I believe that relationships "make the world go 'round." When things aren't going well with your partner, your life as a whole can feel "off," constrained. When you're emotionally connected with your partner, you tend to be more engaged with life overall and are better able to deal with the challenges that life brings your way. A healthy intimate partnership is a safe harbor in a storm and a safe base from which to explore personal strengths and possibilities.
For building healthy families and communities--in fact, a better world--there's no better place to start than with our own intimate partnership.
Couples who come to me for therapy have an innate sense that things could be better between them. They may be demoralized by a lack of success to make things better between them thus far, but in reaching out for help they're acting on a very healthy impulse. I love re-seeding their hope for a closer connection with one another, and showing them, step by step, how to create it.
I work with a diverse range of couples.
Contact me and we'll have an initial phone conversation about the possibility of working together. If we decide to go forward, we'll set up your first appointment.
