The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:

I love this work ! I enjoy working with diverse clients to explore the interplay of their INDIVIDUAL and RELATIONSHIP dynamics in healthier ways. I believe that relationship health consists of the combination of the actual healthiness of the two individuals. Sadly, in our society, many of us are not taught enough about these healthy dynamics to be able to create strong, flexible, loving, and resilient partnerships.. Today, we know a great deal about the elements of healthy relationships, so what remains is the challenge of learning and customizing this to the unique needs of actual people in their concrete life circumstances.

What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:

The reward of helping clients to know themselves better and their partner more deeply and to ignite a continuous growth process for each partner and the relationship is an investment in forever useful skills / habits. I am excited to see how their lives, their extended family, and communities are strengthened and more authentically connected.

Are there kinds of couples or issues that you work with a lot?:

I have special skills / interests in working with mid-age and non-traditional partnerships (e.g. second marriages, GLBTQ and other diversity characteristics)

What are the steps to becoming a client in my practice?:

Please call or email me to chat so we can explore your particular circumstances and questions ---- I also provide a FREE 25 minute consultation to determine if we want to begin to work together
