Best Way of Reaching Me: Phone or Email is Fine
The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:
Relationships function in predictable patterns. Each partner contributes to their part in maintaining unhealthy patterns, and is responsible for changing their part. Working with couples gives me the opportunity to observe those patterns in action, and to help break the patterns as they are being enacted. I appreciate the opportunity to give couples an active, immediate experience instead of sitting in the therapist's office rehashing the same old fights they have at home.
What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:
It's an honor to witness couples learning to connect and communicate in ways that positively change the dynamics of the relationship. When children are involved, I love being present when parents begin to function as a team and impart a sense of security and solidarity.
Are there kinds of couples or issues that you work with a lot?:
I work with many couples in which one or both have experienced trauma. I also see many couples in which one or both struggle with addiction, and those who come in when an affair has been discovered. Of course, I am a certified Discernment Counselor, and, in 1-5 sessions, help couples decide whether they want to try to stay together.
What are the steps to becoming a client in my practice?:
It's easy. Call me at 610 889-2089 or email at email@example.com. I will return your message quickly (almost always by the end of the day) and we can discuss your needs.
