I have a view of the family as a whole system. Marriage is an important part of that system, and without addressing couple problems, we'll continue to have a society with difficulties relating with each other.
Seeing the joy and love re-enter their relationship. To be present when couples re-discover the reason they originally got together and then find a way to hold onto that is very rewarding.
I typically work with couples on the brink of divorce, but I enjoy working with couples who characterize their presenting problem as "communication issues". Often these couples haven't given up hope and are eager to learn how to alter their own behavior for a more fulfilling relationship.
My day job is as a Child Therapist (who does couples therapy when that is warranted). But I have a small private practice that I see only couples with. In order to have just straight couples therapy, couples should contact me through my website - AspenGroveTherapy.com -
