The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:
relationships are the heart and soul of our lives, and good help can make a world of difference.
What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:
the positive transformations and growth that happens in my office every day.
Are there kinds of couples or issues that you work with a lot?:
I work with couples at every stage, from those in relatively new relationships to couples that have been together for decades. The issues I deal with the most are communication problems and infidelity/trust, as well as couples who feel disconnected from one another and are living parallel lives. I enjoy the diversity in my practice of straight and gay and genderqueer folks. My practice includes a significant amount of couples therapy for repair and reconnection, as well as a lot of discernment counseling for couples considering divorce and trying to make a thoughtful, self-reflective decision about their next steps with greater confidence and clarity.
What are the steps to becoming a client in my practice?:
The first step is to contact my intake coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-231-2550. She'll gather some initial information and discuss logistics, and help you schedule an initial appointment or phone consultation with me.
I offer regular local in-person sessions, distance sessions via secure online video, and in-person private couples retreats from our beautiful southern Vermont location and at destinations worldwide.
