Best Way of Reaching Me: Phone or Email is Fine
The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:

After 20+ years of focusing on individual therapy, it became clear to me that many of my clients were struggling in their most significant relationships. Couples counseling is a very powerful way to create safety and security in one's most intimate relationship and it also helps each person grow and understand themselves in the context of this relationship. Additionally, a strong marriage is essential to a healthy family. So I feel like I am impacting a much larger system by doing couples therapy.

What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:

I believe that we all strive to attach to a significant other and that this need is hard wired into us from birth. In my work I am able to help move a couple from distress to connection. I work with a very broad base of couple's and couple's issues. I help couples heal from betrayals and disengagement. I help younger couples navigate the transition to parenthood. My goal is always to explore the negative patterns that have developed and empower couples to change these patterns and learn new more positive ways of connecting. Creating a safe and secure bond is what really helps a couple move from distress to loving connection. Being a part of that process touches me and is very satisfying and hopeful.
