Best Way of Reaching Me: Phone or Email is Fine
The reason I chose to specialize in marriage and couples counseling is….:

I feel energized when I help a couple break down the years of hurt, anger and disappointment that exists between them so that they can rediscover the connection that they'd had at their start. When couples realize that the problems that keep them from each other are almost always problems of skill—NOT problems of failure or lost feelings—the relief and hope that arises is encouraging to watch and exciting to be a part of.

What you most enjoy about working with couples is….:

I enjoy acting as a couples' interpreter, where I help each spouse correctly interpret their partner's words and behaviors. Most spouses are doing their best to be loving; often those behaviors get misinterpreted by their spouse, causing both partners to feel lonely, unappreciated and hopeless. My ability to teach spouses to understand and speak each others' languages effectively gets a couple “unstuck”, and moves a couple from hopelessness and despair to hope and reconnection.

Are there kinds of couples or issues that you work with a lot?:

I specialize in getting couples unstuck around differences in communication, sexuality, emotionality, parenting styles, and marital expectations. Once a couple moves out of the gridlock of their struggles, I use exercises (for practice both in and out of the office) to teach new skills, view old problems in new ways and build a bond that can allow a couple to create a long-haul life together full of security AND adventure, pleasure AND hard work, fulfillment AND fun.

What are the steps to becoming a client in my practice?:

Simply contact me at 203.488.5114 or email me at info@sandywolftherapy.com. All contacts will be responded to within 24 hours. I no longer accept private insurance, but am happy to provide a bill towards getting reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits.
